Improv Training
for Aspiring
Galactic Knights

$75

Monday, April 27  |  6PM–8PM

This workshop takes lessons learned from a galaxy far, far away and applies them to the craft of improvisation: listening, feeling, trust, and commitment.

Drawing on 20 years of experience, instructor Brian Agosta uses metaphors from his favorite fantasy fairy tale as clear, practical tools for building richer characters, sharpening the comic perspective, and behaving on stage in a human way that makes audiences want to lean in. Characters jump to life, take bold swings, and use their senses to adjust with grace to whatever happens—even if they have a “bad feeling about this.”

Concepts include:

  • Focusing on your senses: listening, feeling, and letting offers change you

  • Choosing a strong comedic perspective, like a character out of a bustling cantina

  • Just winging it: acting instead of overthinking

  • Committing without hesitation: do, or do not

Sign up today, this workshop is sure to fill up in less time than it takes to make a famously-quick smuggler’s run!

About the Instructor
Brian Agosta is an improv comedian, singer, actor, producer, and the Creative Director of Big Attitude, LLC, his Wakefield-based comedy and performing arts company. With more
than twenty years of professional performing experience, he has toured across the country, from Miami to Chicago to Anchorage, working with ImprovBoston’s Mainstage and National Touring Company, Boston’s Unscripted Musical Project, the five-person vocal band Almost Recess, and even Chicago’s famed Baby Wants Candy. His teaching and coaching credits include ImprovBoston and Mill City Comedy.

As a creative producer for Big Attitude, Brian develops original live and digital comedy, including narrative-based and video game–themed productions. His most notable project is What a Night, a monthly late-night variety show taped in front of a live audience at the Albion Cultural Exchange in Wakefield. The show blends monologues, sketches, musical parodies, improv formats, recurring characters, and audience-driven games.

Brian also holds a BS in Electronic Media, Arts, and Communications from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and has appeared in commercials for Friendly’s, Meineke, Big Y, Wayfair, and more.

Across all his projects, he focuses on moving an audience and building a community of performers, improvisers, and artists through laughter and genuine connection.
